Managing offshore compliance was stuck in the past — paper certificates in waterproof folders, spreadsheets emailed to site coordinators, gate delays while someone phoned an office to verify a certificate. VisOpus replaces all of it with a platform built around the way offshore workers actually operate.
The problem we're solving
Offshore wind is one of the fastest-growing sectors in energy. Thousands of technicians, commissioning engineers, HSE officers, and supervisors spend their careers rotating across farms in the North Sea, Baltic, Taiwan Strait, and beyond. But the tools they use to manage their compliance haven't changed in a decade.
A GWO certificate gets uploaded to three different contractor portals and then forgotten until a gate agent flags the expiry. A medical certificate is stored in a PDF on a home PC. A rotation that ended six weeks ago still hasn't been logged anywhere. When a cert lapses, the worker doesn't find out — their site coordinator does, at the worst possible time.

How we build
Every feature is evaluated from the perspective of the person standing at a quayside at 5am, not the person managing a spreadsheet in an office. If it doesn't make life easier in the field, it doesn't ship. That's why we have an offshore day counter and offline wallet access — not because they're technically interesting, but because they're useful.
The best data entry is none. Passport stamps build from confirmed calendar rotations. GWO records sync from WINDA. Wallet passes update when certificates change. Country maps fill in from the rotations you've already logged. The goal is a platform that does the work in the background so workers don't have to.
Offshore sites, vessels, and coastal harbours have poor connectivity — sometimes none at all. Your compliance card lives in Google Wallet and works without a data connection. Your certificate list is always accessible on the dashboard. VisOpus works when you need it most, not just when you have a good signal.
